The International Chinese Statistical Association (ICSA) strives to promote statistical disciplines through its scientific activities as a non-profit charitable organization.
About The International Chinese Statistical Association (ICSA)
In the early 1970s, a collective of Chinese statisticians convened to establish an organization aimed at addressing the growing demand for formal coordination among statisticians and scientists in China. This initiative led to the inception of the Chinese Statistical Association (ICSA). Recognizing the necessity for a more structured platform to facilitate collaborative efforts in statistical research and related fields, the International Chinese Statistical Association (ICSA) was formally inaugurated during a meeting held in Chicago in 1986. Concurrently, it was agreed upon to inaugurate an internal statistical journal to cater to the scholarly needs of ICSA members. In 1987, a Formation Committee was convened to draft the Constitution and By-laws, outlining the objectives and organizational framework of the ICSA.
